1. WHERE DO WE DELIVER?

The Local Bunch is an online flower shop, we are based in Edwardstown and work from a home studio. We offer same-day delivery to over 200+ suburbs. Delivery is calculated on checkout and you can find more details here Where we Deliver.

We deliver to Residential Homes, Units and Apartments between 1pm – 5:30pm, Business between 1pm – 5pm, Hospitals 1pm- 5:30 and Schools between 1pm and 3pm.

For hospital deliveries- due to ongoing Covid restrictions we cannot in most instances make the delivery straight to the recipient’s ward and we rely on the hospital reception staff to deliver your flowers (please understand this is not their job however they do this as a courtesy). We can therefore not guarantee that they’ll reach the recipient in a timely manner or at all.

2. WHAT FLOWERS CAN I ORDER?

We design florist choice mixed flower bunches daily that are available in three sizes. We also have a limited selection of Market bunches which are single flower bunches, the Market bunches will change seasonally. Throughout the year you can look forward to bunches of Tulips, Lisianthus, King Proteas and Peonies to name a few.

3. WHAT DAYS DO WE DELIVER FLOWERS?

We deliver Monday to Friday, except for public holidays. We don’t deliver on the weekend unless it’s Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day.

4. DO YOU MAKE SAME-DAY DELIVERIES?

Yes, we offer same-day delivery, we take orders up until 1pm or until sold out* (whichever comes first) for a same-day afternoon delivery.

*pre-ordering is always a must as some days we sell out prior to the day.

5. CAN I PRE-ORDER FLOWERS?

Yes! We encourage pre-ordering your flower gifts for family and friends as we often sell out before 8am or even the day before and would hate for you to miss out. 6. WHAT TIME WILL THE FLOWERS BE DELIVERED?

We deliver in the afternoon between 12pm and 5.30pm, due to the delivery route changing each day we cannot guarantee an exact delivery time. We do prioritize delivering to schools before 3pm and workplaces before 5pm with residential homes before 5:30pm.

7. WHAT HAPPENS IF NO ONE IS HOME TO RECEIVE THE FLOWERS?

We will always leave the flowers in a discreet and shady spot in a composable cup of water if no one is home. If we cannot get onto the property due to being fully fenced, a locked gate or locked apartment block then we will contact you to talk through options on where to leave the flowers. If they need to be re-delivered this will have an additional fee. On checkout you have to option to give us extra delivery instructions.

8. WHAT ARE FLOWER SUBSCRIPTIONS?

Flower subscriptions are gift that keeps on giving! We now offer two types of flower subscriptions, firstly the Daily Mixed Flower Subscription which is a regular delivery of our Daily Mixed Bunches. Secondly, we have the Market Bunch Subscription which is again a regular delivery of Seasonal Flowers. You can choose to have flowers delivered weekly, fortnightly or monthly. 9. HOW DO I BEST TAKE CARE OF MY FLOWERS?

It’s important to put your flowers in fresh water as soon as possible. Removing any lower greenery so that no leaves will sit in the water. Trim the stems every two days and change the water as well, making sure the vase is clean each time. Display your flowers in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and fruit bowls. Some flowers will fade faster than others, removing these will help keep your remaining flowers stay healthy and alive.

10. PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Please keep in mind that we do not deliver on Public Holidays. Please see the list: New Year’s Day, Australia Day, Adelaide Cup, Easter, Anzac Day Holiday, Queen’s Birthday, Labour Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.

11. DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure that orders are delivered to the recipient as efficiently as possible, please make sure that all the following information is provided during the checkout process. Delivery to a Residence – Recipient’s Full Name, Address, Any special delivery instructions for gated homes. Delivery to a Workplace, Company Name, Department Name, Address, Recipient’s Full Name. Delivery for sympathy orders, name of the church / funeral home, address of the church / funeral home, full name of the deceased/ family member name, date and time of the funeral. Delivery to hospitals, hospital name and address, ward name and room number, recipient’s full name.

12. HEAT AND EXTREME WEATHER

While our amazing delivery drivers will try their hardest to ensure your flowers arrive in perfect condition, occasionally circumstances outside of our control, such as severe weather conditions which can negatively impact flowers. If no one is home to accept the flower delivery we always find a safe, shaded place (if available) to leave the flowers in a biodegradable cup of water unless the order is our vase arrangement. This is our policy for all deliveries including in cases of heat and extreme weather, we won’t be held responsible for any resulting damage. We recommend that either you ensure your recipient is at home to accept delivery between 12pm and 5:30pm or you provide a work delivery address in times of severe weather.

13. SUBSTITUTIONS

While we try our best for all daily bunches to include the same flowers, occasionally, we may have to substitute flowers to equal or higher value flowers. Substitutes can happen due to factors out of our control, but we always deliver bunches that reflect quality and our signature garden style.
